For What Its Worth - #56 Audio Geek Mini Cast

This Minicast is all about our audio equipment and is not a regular FWIW show.
So it may bore some of you who are not podcasters or into audio gear. But Dawn and I will be back this weekend with show #57

Our equipment we used during our first year:
2 MXL 990 Microphones
Behringer Eurorack UB802 Mixer
Castblaster $50
Behringer Modeling Compressor MINICOM COM800

Our new equipment I purchased through BSW via PodSqod which saved me $20 off the total:
1 Heil PR-40 Microphone
1 Aphex 230
1 Yamaha MG10/2

  • Wow, Steve - the new setup is great. No wonder you guys sound so professional! Keep up the good work.

  • 1: I have the Yamaha mixer also and love it!
2: I can’t believe you spent that much on a compressor for 1 mic…you are crazy! Amy would kill me, right after she said “I don’t hear a difference”.

  • I know, I fell off my rocker! However, the Aphex 230 is not just for the podcast only ;)
