Steve, that is so cool! Get a mac!

I would recommend listening to MacTipsDaily and Typical Mac User Podcast.

I don't run Windows on my macs (afterall, I have PCs for that) but if you ever need any other mac help, call me, e-mail me or whatever.

See ya!

Hi Tim,

Thank you for the info and the offer of help. When I get close to getting one I'll get in contact with you. I'm looking for one that will run all my existing windows software in a dual boot situation and run them with acceptable performance. I really don't want to give Adobe more money for my existing Photoshop and the such :D

Steve,

I switched late last year and Nanette got her Mac about two months ago. The transition is a little bumpy, but it's well worth it. I didn't truly realize the difference until I went to my Dad's house to fix some problems on his network. I was flabbergasted by the number of pop-ups and annoyances that I used to take for granted as normal.

One thing that shocked me a bit was the lack of free software. It seems that everything costs at least $14.95. The quality is better, but you need to be prepared to spends some money on software.

One thing that will really help you is the community of users, particularly in the podcast community. Matt B, Shelly, Joe, and many others were (and still are) incredibly helpful. You also have Steve (from Wicked Good) and me as resources. I say go for it! You have a strong support group at the ready.

Please get in touch with me if you have any questions. I'd be more than happy to help. We might even arrange a call.
