I find it amazing how a very big dose of bad health can beat one down so much. I guess the trick is to stand back up, but how do I find me sea legs again? I have just spent time listening to Natalie Brown’s second album release tittled Random Thoughts, and all I can say is fantastic. Her music is a blend of Soul and Pop with a hint of soulful funk reminiscent of Earth Wind and Fire, and Natalie has the vocals to pull off this mix of genres. I can honestly say that I enjoyed every song on this album and that is a testament to how solid the arrangements and song choices are in this Sophomore release. Natalie should be proud of this release, it’s a good one.

As you all can see, I am redoing the whole site because I’m bored. Now you can view all my old cartoons and listen to our podcasts. There is still some problems with the menus and I am still tweaking the site, so please bare with me while I go through this new birth of php and html.

Periodically I will add new gag cartoons, but most likely not on a regular bases for now.

Lightening can hurt you! The good thing is that even though she got struck she was not hurt.

Because you insisted, hereâ€™s the unedited screaming version. I also added video from a minute before the lightning struck so you can get an idea of how hard it was raining. From what i understand, it went through my left hand holding the camera, crossed my back and exited out of my right hand holding onto the metal railing. No entry or exit wounds, just a really good zap!

I need to thank Louis Le Prince whom in 1888 invented the time machine (Movie Camera). To bad the movie camera was not invented two thousand years ago, it would be amazing to view the history of the world in video format.

Picked up my kids from school today, and while driving by the gas station I saw that regular unleaded is now $4.46/gallon here. In my opinion we are being hit by a form of economic terrorism. There is no excuse as to why our country will not tap it’s own untouched oil deposits. Unfortunately, the U.S. has not built any new refineries in years, so even if this country began to drill it’s untouched areas, it may not have the refining capacity to meet the new flow of oil generated by the drilling in these new untouched areas of crude oil. Well back to the horse and buggy

I could go on and on about this subject, but I do not want to bore you with my tirade.

This has to be the best example of human selfishness I have seen.

This has to be the sadness thing I have seen to date. Not only is the hit and run bad enough, but seeing people drive and walk by without assisting this poor man is just plain heartless and shameful. Heaven forbid, should anyone take time out of their day and render assistance to this victim. Where has the heart of “man” gone?

We decided to take a break for awhile, however during this break Dawn has taken on a new job which has required her to travel and be in the Sacramento area for four months. Without Dawn, For What Its Worth is not itself, so therefore will not be continued until Dawn returns. We would like to thank every single one of you for your emails and voice mails of support, it has meant a lot to us.

Amazing Guitar!

Tex-Mex Mac and Cheese

1 Lb. Ground beef

1 medium onion, peeled and chopped

2 Tbsp tomato paste

2-3 Tbsp chili powder

1 Tbsp cumin

1 Â¼ tsp salt

12 oz. Package pasta

3 cups milk

2 Tbsp flour

1 Â½ cups cheddar cheese, shredder

1 Â½ cups jack cheese, shredded ( pepper jack is also good)

1 Â½ cups tortillas chips, broken

Heat oven to 375 degrees. Spray a 9 x 13 pan with non-stick cooking spray. Bring a large pot of salted water to boil for the noodles. Add noodles when water is boiling and follow package direction for proper cooking time. Drain and return to pot.

In a large skillet cook the ground beef and onion oven medium heat till crumbly and cooked through. Drain grease from meat and return to skillet. Add tomato paste and half the spices. Add Â¼ cup water to meat and cook for 1 minute more.

In a sauce pan stir together the milk and flour till smooth. Add the rest of the spices. Bring to a simmer and cook for 1 minute till thickened. Remove from the heat and add Â½ the cheese and stir till smooth.

Now to the pot with the pasta add the meat mixture and the sauce and stir to blend. Pour into the 9 x 13 pan and top with remaining cheese and the crushed tortilla chips and place in the center of the oven. Bake at 375 degrees for 30 minutes.

Serve with green salad and corn.

An intensive land, air and sea search has been launched in the New Forest to find a missing teenage girl. Rosemary Edwards, 15, left her family home in Wellington Close, Dibden Purlieu, Hampshire, after an argument at about 2230 BST on Tuesday. Specialist police search teams have been drafted in to conduct a fingertip search in and around Rosemaryâ€™s home. Police have already conducted inquiries throughout the area and with other forces to find her.

What a whirl wind trip to the San Fransisco Bay Area. We got back home Sunday night around 11pm and the last couple of days we were too tired to do a podcast. Yesterday we get a call from my doctor in SF to come back for an appointment Friday, so we will leave again tomorrow for another whirl wind trip. I’m surprised they had an opening so soon and please know this is for a special scan of my back, so this is nothing serious. So, needless to say we will not be putting out a show until after this next trip.

We had a great time at my friends wedding, it’s hard to believe I have known him since the first grade. Dawn and I also celebrated our twentieth year anniversary and San Diego is where we spent our honeymoon. Good time all the way around and San Diego is one beautiful city.

I apologize to everyone if you got the download multiple times only to have the file be rejected by iTunes. The weird thing is, if I manually import the file, iTunes will play it. Also, you can watch the video via streaming on the website, so I am at a loss as to what the problem is.

Has anyone had any success with the video downloading via iTunes?

I apologize for the audio hick-ups in show #73. I upgraded to Vista and it is sucking up a lot of resources and I think that is what caused the problems. I hope I can get this fixed, if not, I will be going back to XP Pro.

Peanut Butter Pancakes Recipe

2 cups all-purpose flour

2Tbsp + 2 tsp sugar

1 Tbsp baking powder

Â¼ tsp salt

2 eggs, slightly beaten

Â¾ cup creamy peanut butter

2 cups milk

1 tsp vanilla

1 tsp cinnamon

1/3 cup chopped peanut, optional and you can chop more to sprinkle over the top

In a large bowl combine all the dry ingredients and whisk to mix. In a medium bowl whisk together the 2 eggs and the peanut butter till they are combined. Slowly stir in the milk and vanilla. Now, add the liquid mixture to the dry ingredients and stir just until the the ingredients are combined. Small lump may still present and this is ok. You may now add the peanuts if desired.

Lightly grease and heat a griddle or frying pan over medium heat. When ready pour between 1/4 and 1/3 cups of batter onto the greased surface and cook until golden brown on both sides, about 2 minutes per side.

These pancakes are great with your favorite syrup. You can also top them with slices of banana, a little apple pie filling, or a sprinkle of chopped peanuts.

Two hours before I took this photo, it was sunny with some clouds and kind of warm. The moral of this story is to be prepared while traveling in the High Sierras or any wilderness, because these storms can hit very fast and hard. This one today did, it went from nice to freezing within an hour.
